Bayern Munich and Juventus have verbally agreed that Matthijs de Ligt would cost €80 million (£68 million) to be their player.

The German side will contribute an initial €70 million but may contribute an additional €10 million.

De Ligt, 22, transferred from Ajax to Juventus three years ago, and he is anticipated to sign a five-year contract.

De Ligt was purchased by Juventus in July 2019 for €75 million, however the club has chosen to part ways with the Dutch international.

While playing 117 times for Juventus, he captured the Serie A, Coppa Italia, and Italian Super Cup.

Robert Lewandowski is moving to Barcelona for a sum that might reach €50 million, and Bayern has the money to buy De Ligt.

Prior to the completion of his move, Lewandowski has already teamed up with his Miami teammates.

The defending Bundesliga winners have already signed Noussair Mazraoui, Sadio Mane, and Ryan Gravenberch this summer.
