Raphinha "to undergo Barcelona medical in the next 24 hours"

 Raphinha, a Leeds United forward, is allegedly scheduled to have his physical with Barcelona on Wednesday before finalising his €58 million (£49.2 million) transfer to Camp Nou.

The 25-year-transfer old's to the Catalan giants is said to have been agreed upon at a sum with the Premier League team that may increase to €68 million (£57.7 million) with add-ons.

Although Leeds accepted a proposal from Chelsea for Raphinha as well, Barca appears to have won the race for the Brazilian, who is now getting closer to completing his dream move to Catalonia.

The club is in negotiations with Barca over Raphinha's transfer to the La Liga powerhouses, according to Leeds head coach Jesse Marsch, who anticipates the transaction to "move ahead in the next day or two."

Raphinha will go to Spain on Wednesday to speak with Barca executives before getting a medical exam, according to Spanish media site COPE, which was cited by The Sun.

Barca wants to include the attacker in Xavi's squad for their preseason tour of the United States, the report says, therefore they are hopeful the trade can be completed fast.

After being excluded from the team's preseason trip of Australia, Raphinha participated in training on Tuesday at Leeds' Thorp Arch facility.

The former Rennes forward will leave the West Yorkshire team following two seasons at Elland Road, where he played in 67 games across all competitions and contributed 12 assists in addition to 17 goals.
